Appointments
Click here to book an appointment.
Bribie Doctors operates on an appointment system. Every effort will be made to accommodate your preferred time with the doctor of your choice.
If you have any cold, cough or flu symptoms please contact the clinic directly for bookings and advise.
Long Consultations are recommended for complex health concerns, more than one issue, counselling and surgical procedures that may also require a nurse’s assistance. Therefore, please advise reception of your needs when booking to ensure an appropriate appointment time is booked.
If you are unable to attend your appointment, please notify us in advance (preferably 24hrs) if you are unable to attend. Failure to attend appointments is noted and DNA fees are applicable for missed appointment.
Home visits are available for our regular patients based on need and doctor availability. Please ring the surgery for details.
Whatever your preferred language, we can help you organise an interpreter to assist with any language or communication barriers. Bribie Doctors uses TIS national (Translating and Interpreting Service) and National Relay Service.
Billing
Bribie Doctors is a mixed billing practice. Our fees are structured to reflect the time you spend with your doctor, the complexity of your issues, as well as the number of procedures performed during your consultation.
Payment at time of consultation can be made via Eftpos or cash. Please note we can process your Medicare rebate directly back to your account if your banking details are registered with Medicare.
All children under 16 years of age, Concession Card Holders, DVA Card holders are bulk billed.
Repeat Prescriptions
All prescription requests will require an appointment, either in person or via telehealth (if eligible). Repeat prescriptions cannot be ordered over the phone with reception staff. It is the responsibility of patients to ensure that they leave adequate time for script request appointments as on the day requests cannot be guaranteed to be completed.
Telephoning Your Doctor
Queries
The Doctors may be contacted during normal surgery hours. If the Doctor is already in consultation with another patient, a message will be taken and reception will advise when the doctor may be able to return your call. If your call is an emergency please communicate the nature of this emergency to reception and every endeavour will be made to put you through to a Doctor. For general health questions it is recommended that an appointment is made with your GP to discuss these. Telehealth Consult fee may be applicable.
Results
Results of tests are unable to be provided by reception staff over the phone as staff are not authorised to give test results or medical advice over the phone. We encourage all patients wishing to discuss the results of tests to make an appointment with your regular GP.
