Our Story — Trusted Bribie Island Doctors

Founded by Dr. Raahul Vaid and Dr. Arti Vaid, a husband-and-wife team passionate about community healthcare, Bribie Doctors Group has grown to become a trusted name in family medicine on Bribie Island.

Our journey began on 3 December 2012 with the opening of Bribie Doctors Bongaree, located at 25 Second Avenue. What started as a small local practice soon developed into a multi-GP medical centre providing comprehensive healthcare for patients of all ages — from children to seniors.

Building on that success, we expanded our services to Woorim, opening Bribie Doctors Surfside on 21 February 2018. This centre restored essential medical services to local residents after the closure of a previous clinic. In February 2021, the practice relocated to its modern, purpose-built location, continuing to provide excellent care to the Woorim community.

Our third and largest clinic, Bribie Doctors Banksia Beach, opened on 16 March 2020. It is now the largest GP-owned and operated medical centre on Bribie Island and in the surrounding region. This modern facility offers a wide range of General Practice, Allied Health, and Telehealth services, allowing patients to access complete healthcare under one roof.

We are proud providers of the National Immunisation Program, Travel Vaccinations (including Yellow Fever), and have successfully delivered the COVID-19 Vaccination Program, administering over 6,000 vaccines during its first phase.

As part of the Care Collective Initiative (PHN), we also collaborate to identify and support patients with complex or chronic health needs, ensuring comprehensive continuity of care.
