Dr Raahul Vaid
General Practitioner
Dr Raahul Vaid is Principal GP and Director of the group. He had his Medical Training in prestigious Armed Forces Medical College in India which ranks amongst top 40 Medical Schools in the world. He served the Army as a Medical Officer for nine years before he moved to Australia in 2008 where he completed his FRACGP. He has vast experience in General Practice working in Urban, Rural and remote locations.
Being an Army Veteran, he has a special interest in Veterans’ health related issues along with Geriatric Medicine, Chronic Complex Medical Conditions, Men’s Health, Diabetes and pain management.
He is also an educator in supervisory role for Fellowship Support Program for RACGP. He has keen interest in medical education, Health IT and newer developments in Primary care. He and his team established after hours urgent care at Bribie Island prior to the set up of Bribie Satellite Hospital.
Dr Arti Vaid
General Practitioner
Dr Arti Vaid is a Senior Female GP and Director in the Group. She completed her Medical graduation in 1998 from India. She first worked as a General Practitioner with a NGO and then later joined the Armed Forces where she served for over 6 years . She gained valuable experience while in the forces, where she served in remote locations, counter insurgency operations , as part of teams running the rescue and emergency aid missions. She retired in the Rank of ‘Major’ & still misses those days.
She has been a part of Australian General Practice since 2007 & completed her Fellowship soon after. She has special interest in Women’s Health, Menopause, Adolescent health, Diabetes Management, Weight management, Chronic Disease management. She is passionate about patient education on health related matters. She is keen on learning latest developments in medical field. She has recently taken to Functional Medicine & completed the primary training (AFMCP) & plans to work her way further into the same, in the coming years, to refine her patient care skills beyond routine medical care. Being a veteran herself and served in line of action, she is well conversant with issues with Veterans Health.
Dr Ajay Saraswat
General Practitioner
Prior to arriving in Australia, Dr Ajay Saraswat worked as a Cardio-Thoracic Surgeon in New Delhi. He started his medical journey in Australia as a Cardio-Thoracic surgeon, training at renowned facilities including the Monash Medical Centre, Clayton and The Prince Charles Hospital.
Wanting a change of pace, Ajay then branched into General Practice successfully achieving his Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practice with a special interest in cardio-vascular diseases.
He is also a Designated Aviation Medical Examiner and has avid interest in aviation medicine. Ajay is a member of the Australian Society of Aviation Medicine.
He has recently launched Cosmetic and Aesthetic procedures at Bribie Doctors. He is also a Corresponding Member of the Cosmetic Physicians College of Australia.
Ajay likes to spend his spare time reading and travel with his family and his Labrador
Dr Gautam Garg
General Practitioner
Dr Garg completed his graduate degree in India and moved to Australia in 2008.
He completed his Masters in Public Health and Health Management from the University of New South Wales, Sydney.
For the past nearly thirteen years, he has worked with Queensland health in various capacities across various hospitals. This has given him a diverse perspective on Australian health care needs.
He has special interest in the Musculoskeletal system which is an integral part of General Practice. In keeping with his special interests, he was recently awarded Masters in Philosophy (MPhil) through Queensland University of Technology. He has also published various papers in journals and given presentations at state conferences. He has also interest in skin cancer surgery and provides array of services. His other interest includes complex chronic conditions, chronic pain and emergency medicine.
Dr Garg has always worked around the framework of principles of “patient first” which is represented by his communication skills, knowledge and professional and ethical attitude. He believes in providing his patients with the most current advice to deliver the best patient care. He is also an independent medical examiner (CIME) and currently working with Qld Health to be a Voluntary Assisted Dying (VAD) practitioner.
He shares Bribie Doctors’ ideology to provide best patient care. We are excited for him to be part of our team to help the community at Bribie Island.
Dr Sarah Saleem
General Practitioner
Dr Sarah Saleem is an international medical graduate who has extensive work experience in Australia. She has worked in various capacities in different health settings, having worked with Queensland Health in various capacities across a number of different departments, emergency room experience in local hospital and also medical centre across the Brisbane region. This has provided Dr Saleem with a diverse perspective Australian health care needs.
She has a special interest in Geriatric Medicine and Mental Health, which is an important part of General Practice.
